Sunday Golf

     Today we're going to talk about The St. Jude Classic and how Dustin Johnson played.  Johnson ended with one of the best strokes from about 170 yards he made it for the eagle to secure the win by six strokes.  This was his second win of the year.  If you want to see more of Johnson, he will be playing in the U.S. open.

Baseball Highlights

Monday

     Today we are going to start with baseball.  The Astros beat the rangers 8-7. George Springer, the player of the game, got a solo home run in the top of the first. Jose Altuve got two hits.  He also scored on both and got one RBI.

     Next the A's beat the Royals 3-2. During the game they celebrated all the forest firefighters.  The White Sox defeated the Red Sox 5-2 #soxmatchup.  The Oriels scored 3, but it wasn't enough to beat the Blue Jays who scored 13.  

     Next up Padres 3 Marlins 1.  The Mariners scored 5 and the Rays were able to score 4, but sadly that wasn't enough.  The Reds beat the Cardinals 6-3.  Next the Indians crushed the Tigers 9-2.  The Brewers played the Phillies but weren't able to brew a win they lost 4-3.  The Angels played the  twins. They came out with the win (5-7). Fernando Romerto was the player of the game with five strikeouts.  The Pirates played the Cubs and the Pirates took the win 7-1. Anthony Rizzo got one hit and one RBI. 

     The Diamondbacks played the Rockies and won 8-3.  The player of the game was Zach Godly, the Pitcher of the Diamondbacks, who got eight strikeouts.  Charlie Blackmon got one hit and that was it.  Next up Braves played the Dodgers who dodged a loss winning 7-2.  The Player of the game was Ross Stripling and the pitcher of the Dodgers who got six strikeouts.  The Yankees lost to the Mets 2-0.  Finally, the Giants beat the Nationals 2-0.  The Player of the game from San Fransisco is Derek Holland, the pitcher with 4 strikeouts.  

     Today the amazing things are: the most strikeouts goes to Paxon who is on the Mariners (10).  The most hits were by Crawford and Guriel (4).  Brandon Crawford had four hits out of the Giants 5 hits and he scored the 2 run home run for the Giants to win.  The most points today were 13 (Bluejays).
